MANTIS v0.3.0 — AI-Powered Grasshopper Scripting
==================================================

Describe what you want to build in plain language; MANTIS generates the
native Grasshopper components, wired and ready on your canvas.

NEW IN v0.3.0:
  - Ask mode: flip the "Ask" toggle to ask MANTIS about Grasshopper or your
current canvas ("what does this do?", "why is this red?", "how would I
approach X?") and get a conversational answer instead of a build.
  - Custom Instructions: open Models and set standing context — units,
preferred plugins, house style — applied to every request automatically.

ALSO IN v0.2.0:
  - Image-to-script: click "+ Image" in the chat, attach a reference photo
or sketch, and MANTIS reconstructs it as a parametric definition. Works
with cloud vision models (Claude, GPT-4o, Gemini) and local ones (Ollama
llava / qwen-vl) — fully offline if you want.
  - Sturdier builds: a validate-repair pass catches invented component names
and out-of-range wires BEFORE they reach the canvas, so generated graphs
    come up clean.

INSTALLATION (recommended):

  In Rhino 8:
    1. Tools > Package Manager (or run the _PackageManager command)
    2. Search: MANTIS
    3. Click Install
    4. Restart Rhino

FIRST USE:

From Rhino — no Grasshopper required:
    1. Run the Mantis command (just type "Mantis" at the command line),
OR open the MANTIS panel from the Panels menu / tab.
    2. The MANTIS chat panel appears.
    3. Pick your AI provider (Ollama and Gemini are free).
    4. Type what you want to build — MANTIS builds it on the Grasshopper
canvas for you, loading Grasshopper in the background if needed.

  From Grasshopper:
Open Grasshopper and the MANTIS panel auto-launches. You can also drop
the MANTIS component (Mantis > AI) on the canvas to toggle the panel.
